After a busy week of travel from Gaborone, to Palapye, and to Francistown, we enjoyed a relaxed weekend. On Saturday evening we were kindly invited for dinner to Eunice and Robert’s home and we had a lovely time. The night was filled with laughter, campfire conversation and lots of delicious food, we couldn’t be more grateful.

On Sunday evening, we attended a visit to the Tjilenje Tja Ngwao Cutrual Village here in Francistown, where they taught us about the history and the culture of the Kalanga Tribe. It was such a warm, intimate environment lit up by a gorgeous bonfire where we all got to participate in doing something new and exciting. There was beautiful music paired with cultural dancing (in which we all participated in), instruments, and we even had a traditional meal which was delicious. The team’s favourites was the Mopane worm, and the Seswaa - both filled with so much flavour. The team there is doing a fantastic job of bringing recognition to their culture and we are so grateful that they were able to share it with us.
