A busy day in Francistown began with a visit to OSET - Out of School Education and Training. At OSET, they are working hard to provide education to adults and children who did not have the chance to go through maintream schooling. Here, we started with the adults campus where we had the oppertunity to chat to the learners about each of our disciplines and discuss our project posters, before engaging in our prosthetic hand workshop. For our second school visit we attended Gambule Primary school where we carried out three workshops with different age groups! We began with the older students, in standards five to seven, and we built ballon cars first. The models were brilliant created by the students, and it was great to see the problem solving and creativity they brought into the activity when testing their cars in competition! Whilst half of us wanted to stay and get sorted for the days ahead, the other half of the team headed to Moremi Gorge near Palapye. When we arrived at the Gorge, we met out guide for the hike who taught us all about the trees, vultures, the Sir Seretse Khama Stone, and so much more. After a busy week of travel from Gaborone, to Palapye, and to Francistown, we enjoyed a relaxed weekend.
